UF Fellows of Chemical Biology
The UF Fellows of Chemical Biology (FCB) is a student-led organization that aims to support graduate and undergraduate students by fostering a cohesive and supportive student community.
FCB is open to all undergraduate and graduate students interested in chemical biology, biochemistry, or related areas of study, across all departments on the UF campus.

FCB has supported the student community by providing feedback on thesis documents and thesis proposals, inviting and sponsoring guest seminar speakers, funding travel awards for students to attend scientific conferences, hosting literature discussions, movie nights, potlucks, and organizing outreach events with local schools.
Come be a part of our team! More information can be found on the FCB website https://www.fcbchemufl.org

Undergraduate Research Opportunities
We welcome motivated undergraduate students with interests in chemistry, biophysics, or chemical biology to explore research opportunities in our group. Former undergraduate researchers have been nominated for the Goldwater Scholarship, received UF undergraduate research awards, and gone on to top PhD and MD programs.
We are especially interested in students who can make a longer-term commitment (ideally at least two years), as our goal is to provide the training and mentorship necessary for undergraduates to make original contributions to published research. Achieving this level of impact typically requires time to build the necessary experience and skills.
To apply, please email Dr. Eddy with the following materials:
- A CV or résumé
- A brief cover letter describing your interest in our research group
- A list of relevant coursework
